Marengo Makers Market Postponed to August 7

The Marengo Makers Market planned for Friday, July 31 is postponed. Organizers made the call Thursday evening, telling vendors the forecast was not improving, and moved the market to the date already printed on the season schedule as its rain date: Friday, August 7. Same hours, same place, 5 to 8 p.m. at Calvin Spencer Park, 351 Hale St.

Organizers said they had hoped the weather would break their way, and that vendor and community safety came first.

Vendors have a little housekeeping to do. Anyone who was not part of the July lineup but can make the August 7 date is asked to say so as soon as possible, and anyone who signed up for July but cannot make the new date is asked to say that too. Both go to marengoilmarket@gmail.com, in a separate email rather than a reply to the vendor announcement.

The rest of the season is unchanged. Markets are still set for Friday, August 28 and Friday, September 25, both 5 to 8 p.m. at Calvin Spencer Park. The current schedule and vendor list are at marengoilmarket.com, and same-day calls go out in the market's Facebook group.
