Water & Sewer Rates
Marengo reset its water and sewer rates in May 2026. Enter how much water your household uses and see how the change hit your bill, and how that same usage would be priced in nearby towns.

An actual Marengo bill, with the account holder's details removed.
On the charges list, H2O OPS and WW OPS are your water and sewer use; WTRDBT, SWRDBT, WWTP and CAP FEE are the flat debt and capital fees.
Your quarterly water + sewer bill, before and after the May 2026 rate reset.
At this usage your bill ↑ +$40.23/qtr · +15.5%
The 2026 reset cut the flat debt fees by more than half but added a new $20/quarter capital fee for pipe and plant repairs, and it raised the per-gallon rate (from $13.86 to $17.20 per 1,000 gal). Because more of the bill now rides on usage, light users saw little change while heavier users pay more.
Estimated quarterly water + sewer bill at your usage (resident rate). Towns bill monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly, so we put them all on the same quarterly basis to compare fairly.
Union isn't shown: most homes are on private septic and the village publishes no water rate schedule online, so a comparable water + sewer bill can't be built.
How this works. Bill = combined volumetric rate × your usage + fixed fees. Towns bill on different cycles (monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly), so every figure is converted to the period you pick above and priced at the same usage. Comparison uses the inside-town resident rate and combines water and sewer.
